You will be in the sweet spot residing in the picturesque San Juan Mountains located halfway between downtown Durango and Silverton and just 5 miles south of Purgatory Ski Resort.
Whether you seek relaxation and recharging or the perfect place from which to stage all of your outdoor adventures, you will appreciate this coveted location.
This recently updated modern retreat has all you need for your perfect mountain escape. Sitting at an elevation of 8700 feet, this home boasts breathtaking down valley and cliff views.
Each bedroom has a private bathroom. A queen bed master and twin/king flex room are on the main floor. The family suite upstairs has a king bed and pull out love seat that is perfect for 2 adults and 2 small children. This room can be set up with a small tent and sleeping bags for the young campers for an extra charge.
The kitchen is well appointed with small appliances, a Wolf range and Keurig coffee bar. The dining table accommodates up to 10 people . The living room has ample comfortable seating and large screen TV perfect for movie nights or watching your favorite sporting events.
The deck spanning the back of the house is perfect for enjoying the warmer months and soaking in the hot tub that is available for use May through October.
You won’t want to leave this lovely mountain retreat once you arrive, but we highly reccommend that you do get out and explore all that the southern San Juan Mountains and near by towns have to offer.
4 Wheel drive vehicles are necessary November through April.
No pets please. No smoking or vaping indoors.
Queen Suite
This bright and spacious well appointed suite is equipped with a queen size bed, dresser, closet and built in storage. The private bathroom has been recently remodelled and boasts a large walk in shower and plenty of counter and cabinet space. There is a sitting area perfect for gazing at the amazing views, relaxing and reading. This suite has direct access to the expansive south faciing deck.
Twin/King Flex Suite
This cozy room is on the main level and can be converted to two XL twin beds or a king bed making it perfect for teens or another couple. It has a large dresser, closet and sitting area perfect for relaxing with that book you’ve been meaning to read. The bathroom has a walk in shower and new vanity.
Loft Family Suite
This roomy second floor space is perfect for a family with younger children.There is plenty of room to spread out enjoy expansive views and share cherished moments. It is equipped with a king size bed and loveseat with full size roll out sleeper. There is a small work space and sitting area. The bathroom has a large tub perfect for relaxing baths and bathing the kiddos. Small children can sleep on the full sized pull out or enjoy a “camping experience” in a small tent with a forest buddy and complimentary sleeping bag for additional fee when prearranged with the host. A spacious restful spot with views.
Kitchen
Start your day at the coffee bar and prepare your favorite meals on the Wolf range in this well equipped kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked with all the tools you’ll need for dining in.
Dining
The large table is perfect for serving your guests, hanging out enjoying the views, working on puzzles and playing games. It is also large enough to accommodate a work space and still leave plenty of room for dining.
Main Living Area
A great gathering space to enjoy movies, play games, warm up by the gas fireplace and create cherished memories while taking in the expansive views. The 2 recliner sofas and 2 swivel chairs ensure everyone has a comfortable seat.
Laundry Space
Conveniently located near the family suite on the second floor.
Deck Space
The deck spans the southwestern side of the the home and is perfect for warming up in the sun, relishing the down valley and cliff views and night time stargazing. There is a covered dining area and hot tub which are available for use May through October.
Yard
The yard is partially fenced for keeping the kiddos close.

Inside, the home has everything you need and more. It was very clean! We cooked multiple meals a day and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms are all a good size and decorated well. The foldout couch was a hit with the kids. With purgatory right up the road, this is one of the best places to stay in Durango! Absolutely amazing trip! Can’t wait to stay here again!”
